donate

We survive on quality donations of used bicycles to support our shop and programs. Most importantly, donating keeps bicycles out of the landfill and back on the roads.

Drop off bike donations during regular hours.

If you would like to donate four or more bikes we may be able to organize a pick up. Please note, although we are a non-profit organization we are not a registered charity and therefore cannot issue a tax receipt. Upon request, we would be happy to provide a quote approximating the value of the donated bikes.

Please e-mail our sustainability coordinator for pick-up inquiries

Partnerships

We are dedicated to providing programs that promote sustainability and reflect the needs of our community. If you would like to partner with the Bike Kitchen on a cycling initiative, please contact the Programs Manager at programs[at]bikecoop.ca to discuss partnership opportunities.

Thank you

It is with the continued support of the Alma Mater Society of UBC, Campus + Community Planning, and our community that we can continue to provide our programs and services.

We would like to give special thanks to our biggest supporter — the students of UBC!  We extend our heartfelt thanks to each student who contributes to the Bike Kitchen, both through the generous donations of volunteer time and through the $1.00 we receive per student annually.

As approved by student vote in the AMS Referendum in January 2013, the Bike Kitchen receives $1 per student annually as part of their student fees. The proceeds from this fee go towards supporting sustainable transportation options and providing the UBC community with programs and services to make cycling more accessible.
